Jessica Will is a singer-songwriter from Venice, California. Her unique
sound is best described as "acoustic soul-folk-rock." She has been
compared to artists such as Sheryl Crow and Fionna Apple and has been
deeply inspired by Stevie Wonder. She writes and performs on piano and guitar and performs solo all the way up to a sextet (with guitar, organ, bass, drums and backing vocals) called the Jessica Will Band. She has performed at the Mint, the Knitting Factory, the Temple Bar, the Dragonfly & the Joint in LA and the Fillmore, the Great American Music Hall, Tongue and Groove, Red Devil Lounge & Voodoo Lounge in San Francisco as well as a host of other clubs. Jessica left her hometown of LA to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston and then moved to San Francisco to form the alternative rock band, "Betty Moore". Producer Paul Baker picked her up to record a 10-song album of new material, which was the beginning of the Jessica Will set. After performing for a year, Jessica began to work in LA with Producer Henri Yonet on new songs and a music video. A genuine lover of music, Jessica has also toured and performed with the Liz Pisco Project, the Ellington Jazz Trio, and the Brazilian troupe, Mara Reggae. When she's not performing, Jessica Will helps others develop their passion for music. She teaches private lessons, www.jessicawill.com/lessons and co-founded www.musician2you.com, a one stop resource for musicians and students. Return to main bio >> |
